Residence and Special Cash Payment Application Procedures for Individuals Who Face Difficulties in Returning to Their Home
The Immigration Bureau of Japan has announced that selected foreign nationals who were not on the residence registry as of April 27, 2020 will also be eligible to the special cash payment. This includes past and present study-abroad students and technical interns who face difficulties in returning to their home countries due the effects of COVID-19, as well as children of individuals who are applying for the recognition of refugee status.
